Being one of the three children of Pat Mahomes, former Major League Baseball (MLB) pitcher, and Randi Martin, Patrick Lavon Mahomes II was born on September 17, 1995, in Tyler, Texas in the United States of America. He has two siblings, Jackson Mahomes, and Mia Randall.

He had his high school education at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, and was actively engaged in sports including football, baseball, and basketball.
