Adhir Kalyan was born in Durban, South Africa on August 4, 1983 to Indian -South African parents. Kalyan’s mother, Santosh Vinita “Sandy” Kalyan, previously held the position of a member of Parliament in the South African National Assembly, where she represented the Democratic Alliance.
