Shane Pinto was born to Catherine Pinto and Frank Pinto. He has an older sister named Brianna Pinto. His mother and elder sister both played softball, while his father Frank was an avid baseball player. He grew up in an athletic family.

As a passionate baseball devotee, Frank had once hoped to see his kid succeed in the game. But in the end, Shane went with hockey. Later, when the family decided to send Shane to South Kent prep school in Connecticut to follow his hockey goals, they had to make a big financial and emotional decision.

The Pinto family had to take out a loan in order to fund Shane’s passion project because of the financial obstacles associated with this commitment.

Frank and Catherine continued to make loan payments even after Shane’s dream of getting selected by the Senators in the second round of the 2019 draft came true. Frank and Catherine are both employed full-time.
