Toby Keith is a country music singer, songwriter, actor, and record producer from the United States of America.

Keith was born to Carolyn Joan and Hubert K. Covel, Jr. in Clinton, Oklahoma.

He has two siblings, one being a sister and the other sibling being a brother. When Keith was in grade school, the family lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas, for a few years before moving to Moore, Oklahoma, while he was still young.

Before the family moved to Moore, he spent the summers with his grandmother in Fort Smith. His grandmother ran Billie Garner’s Supper Club in Fort Smith, where he became fascinated by the musicians who performed there.

He started doing odd jobs around the supper club and eventually got up on the bandstand to play with the band. He got his first guitar when he was eight years old.

Keith attended Highland West Junior High and Moore High School after his family relocated to Moore, where he played defensive end on the football team.

Keith graduated from Moore High School and worked as an oil field derrick hand, and during his time as an oil field worker, worked his way up to the position of operations manager.

Keith and his friends Scott Webb, Keith Cory, David “Yogi” Vowell, and Danny Smith, along with a few others, formed the Easy Money Band when he was 20 and continued to work in the oil industry.

If he was called to work in the oil field, he would have to leave a concert in the middle of it. Keith is a supporter of Ally’s House, an Oklahoma non-profit organization that helps children with cancer.
