In the year 2008, Justin Bieber began his singing career. A record company executive called Scooter Braun, who was looking for new vocalists, unintentionally saw him.

He phoned his mother after seeing one of Justin Bieber’s earlier YouTube videos, and shortly after Justin signed a contract with Raymond Braun Media Group.

Justin moved to Atlanta, Georgia, when he was only 13 years old, where he began working on demo recordings with well-known American musician Usher Raymond.

Later on in the year, he also agreed to join RBMG and Island Records in a joint venture since Usher was looking for a company to sign the musician too.

While recording additional songs for his first album in 2009, Justin released his first single, One Time, and later that year, he released his debut album, My World.

One Less Lonely Girl, Love Me, and Favorite Girl, the other songs from his first album, all reached the top of the charts in nations including the United States, Australia, and New Zealand.

To promote his first album, Justin Bieber also gave performances at numerous stage events. The MTV VMA 09 Tour, The Dome, YTV’s The Next Star, The Today Show, Lopez Night, Good Morning America, True Jackson, and other events and live performances were among the places he played.

In 2009, he also had the chance to play at the White House for Christmas in front of Barack Obama and Michelle Obama, who were the president and first lady of the United States at the time.

He was a presenter at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards in 2010 and was invited to sing in the 25th-anniversary performance of the well-known song We Are The World to support various philanthropic endeavours.

Together with a number of other Canadian artists, he also recorded a song called Wavin Flag under the name Young Artists for Haiti.
