Josh Allen was born in Firebaugh in California in the United States of America on May 21st, 1996. He grew up on a 3,000 acre cotton farm in Firebaugh where he was born.
His great-grandfather, who immigrated from Sweden in 1907 and resided there during the Great Depression, started his family’s residence in the region.
His paternal grandpa, who was also a longstanding member of the local school board and the namesake of the gym at Firebaugh High School, where Allen graduated in 2014, established the farm where he was raised in 1975.
Allen tried to get the attention of the Fresno State coaching staff while still a young fan who frequently attended football games and camps; although his father tried to convince the Bulldogs’ then-head coach Tim DeRuyter to give him a scholarship, DeRuyter declined.
